Sebastian La Cause, was born in Akron, Oh but has spent the past two decades in Los Angeles and New York City working in the business, first on the stage and then in-front of the camera. With Hustling, La Cause walks new ground as not only the show’s creator and writer but also as the director, star, and editor. Developing the show from idea through post-production, La Cause learned new skills and stretched himself creatively.
As an actor, La Cause stepped into the Broadway spotlight as Rocky in the TONY nominated revival of The Rocky Horror Show. On television, he landed roles on Orange Is The New Black, Homeland, Gossip Girl, Law and Order: SVU, Days of Our Lives, All My Children and One Life To Live. His film work includes the upcoming Jerry Bruckheimer film Beware The Night, The Untitled Chris Rock Movie, Keep The Lights On, Premium Rush, Bear City, Ghost Town, Chicago and Showgirls.
Sebastian first worked extensively as a dancer for the likes of Madonna, Prince, Vanessa Williams, Toni Braxton and Tina Turner. He was a featured dancer in the films Sister Act 2, Boogie Knights, Scream 2, Lord of Illusions, Eraser, Showgirls, The Producers and Chicago. He worked on Broadway in the revivals of Chicago and Once Upon a Mattress, as well as Minnelli on Minnelli. La Cause toured the country in the first national tours of Kiss of the Spiderwomen, Chita and All That Jazz and starred as Zach in the A Chorus Line revival.
Theatrically, La Cause starred as Darren Lemming in the regional debut of Richard Greenberg’s drama, Take Me Out. He proved he was a triple threat playing Marco in the Kennedy Center’s Production of Carnival and was a hit as Steven Kodaly in She Loves Me and El Gallo in The Fantastiks, both at The Arena Stage in Washington, D.C.
